We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the Support team within ISP. The successful candidate will manage various support projects reporting to the Support Project Manager.
The primary role is to manage all aspects of the projects as the main point of contact, working with all functions to deliver the project scope in line with customer expectations and LCM processes to achieve the project schedule, cost, and quality requirements. The role is based at Basildon with a majority of onsite working; some travel will also be required for customer meetings.
This role offers a great opportunity to enter the Project Management function at an entry level, with all required training provided on the job.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the integrity of various support project(s), working with internal functions including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Planning, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial to ensure timely completion of repairs and deliverables.
- Applying budgeting techniques for forecasting orders, sales, cash, and project milestones to ensure accuracy against the project plan.
- Preparing and presenting project summary reports within monthly reviews.
- Monitoring project load with Project Controls based on schedule resource requirements.
- Prioritizing project repairs to meet customer needs, managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preparing quotations and communicating with relevant stakeholders to support project requirements.
Qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques and when/how to use them, aligned with the APM Competency Framework.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Proactive, dynamic, with stakeholder management, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience in planning, engineering, procurement, or finance functions is beneficial but not required.
