Job summary

Your World Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organised Project Officer to support the delivery of large-scale Digital Transformation projects in the healthcare sector. Project Officer (Digital Transformation)
Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Officer to support the successful delivery of large-scale Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) transformation projects. This role will play an integral part in coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders, maintaining governance documentation and supporting project delivery from initiation through to implementation and closure.

Working as part of a collaborative project team, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard, while supporting digital transformation initiatives that improve organisational efficiency, technology and service delivery.

Job Type: Temporary

Duration of booking: Expected to last 6 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £20.22 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
  • Support the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring objectives, milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Assist in the production of project specifications, business requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Work with subject matter experts to coordinate data migration activities and implementation planning.
  • Act as a key point of contact for suppliers and contractors during system implementation, configuration and design activities.
  • Support the development and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
  • Assist the Project Manager or Project Lead throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, deployment, closure and transition to support.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including action logs, RAID logs, change logs and project plans, ensuring a complete audit trail.
  • Capture lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress against scope, budget, quality standards and agreed timescales.
  • Coordinate project resources and monitor delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Assist with the management of project dependencies and ensure workstreams remain aligned.
  • Coordinate training activities for new systems, including scheduling sessions, organising attendees and liaising with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Support the delivery of project communications, ensuring stakeholders receive timely updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external suppliers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project objectives meet operational needs.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Facilitate collaboration between project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Prepare documentation and support governance meetings, including Project Boards, Steering Groups and Working Groups.
  • Assist with the management of project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring mitigation actions are recorded and monitored.
  • Support the preparation of business cases and change requests where project scope or approvals require amendment.
  • Ensure project activities comply with data protection legislation, information governance requirements and organisational policies.
  • Support the implementation of appropriate controls to safeguard sensitive information and organisational data.
Budget & Financial Support
  • Support the monitoring of project budgets, expenditure and financial reporting.
  • Track spend against approved business cases and highlight any variances or potential risks to the Project Lead.
  • Assist in ensuring project resources are managed efficiently and in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities
  • Provide support and cover for the Project Lead where required.
  • Undertake additional project work in line with recognised project management principles and methodologies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Promote compliance with organisational policies, including health and safety, equality, information governance and data protection.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and maintain accurate project records.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to the level of the role in support of organisational priorities.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

  • Degree (Level 6 or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Management, Business Studies, Information Technology, Information Systems, Systems Management, Software Development, Software Engineering or another relevant discipline, and at least one year's experience supporting or coordinating Digital or IT projects;
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) / Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, and at least two years' experience supporting or coordinating Digital or IT projects.

Essential Experience
  • Experience supporting Digital, IT or business transformation projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple project activities within agreed timescales.
  • Experience maintaining project documentation, logs and governance records.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience supporting project delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Experience using project management tools and management information systems would be advantageous.
