Mechanical Project Manager (Biased)
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Biased Project Manager to oversee and deliver multiple projects across the North and Midlands involving plant/utilities such as CHP, gas boilers, heat pumps, decarbonisation schemes, and new network connections, chilled water, district heating, and cooling pipework.
Position Details:
- Permanent role with a salary of up to £60-65k (dependent on experience)
- Car or car allowance included

The role may require working away occasionally and hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities / Duties include:
- Manage delivery of Mechanical (and Electrical) and Civil project activities, coordinating with Engineers, Designers, Planners, QS, and Legal teams.
- Produce bill of quantities/materials take-off.
- Ensure all deliverables meet required standards and specifications.
- Manage project to meet contractual obligations and ensure timely completion before operational start.
- Adhere to project delivery systems and procedures.
- Manage the timely production of O&M manuals with the Principal Designer.
- Develop and maintain relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Produce weekly/monthly project progress reports.
- Carry out the Principal Contractor role where applicable.
- Work with planners to track, monitor, and report project status.
- Plan, allocate, and manage resources effectively.
- Comply with client policies and procedures at all times.
- Manage project budgets and produce monthly financial reports with the QS.
- Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager.
- Ensure quality of delivery and final installation.
- Coordinate with Operations Team.
- Report project progress in line with deadlines.
- Identify, monitor, mitigate, and manage risks.
- Maintain good relations with suppliers for effective delivery and quality.
- Maintain a solution-based approach to problems.
Requirements:
- HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- CSCS Project Manager Card.
- SMSTS Qualification.
- Ideally NRSWA card.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience delivering multi-million pound M&E/Civil Projects with diverse teams.
- Extensive Project Management experience.
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background.
- Ideally Civil Engineering experience (including roadworks and pipe laying).
- Commercial/contractual experience.
- Valid Driving license.
