Job summary

BIOGEST in Leeds, UK, seeks a dedicated Plant Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion facilities and support growth.

The role requires a technical degree, familiarity with MS Project, strong communication, and willingness to travel. Certifications such as PMP/NEBOSH/CSCS are a plus.

You will work with the Senior Project Manager to monitor schedules, deliver projects on time and within budget, and provide on-site and remote technical support.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant technical discipline (civil/mechanical preferred).
• Knowledge of anaerobic digestion is an advantage.
• Strong communication with customers, suppliers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor works and project schedule during realisation.
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Control costs and project planning.
• Identify technical, financial, and contractual risks.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with drawings and specs.
• Attend on-site appointments with clients and engineers.
• Participate in site and client meetings.
• Ensure documentation is delivered and used.
• Participate in commissioning and start-up of AD plants.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for AD units.
• Ensure HSE compliance by subcontractors.
• Promote a zero-accident culture.
• Manage non-conformities and corrective actions.

BIOGEST® is an international manufacturer of biomethane and biogas plants with headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries in France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, the UK and the USA.With a team of more than 100 highly qualified employees, we have already completed over 200 biogas plant projects that generate electricity or biomethane worldwide, thereby contributing to climate protection. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hands-on Plant Operator to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our biogas facilities and support our continued growth.

YOUR PROFIL

• Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline, ideally civil or mechanical engineer, Knowledge of anaerobic digestion is a advantage
• Knowledgeable on international standards and best practice in relation to Site works and H&S
• Able to communicate effectively and develop friendly professional relationships with customers, suppliers andinternal staff
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
• Willingness to travel, ability to work in a team
• Good knowledge ofEnglish (fluently in writing and speech)
• MS Office proficiency, particularly MS Project
• Certifications in PMP, NEBOSH, SMSTS, and CSCS Card are a plus
• Be able to prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statement (RAMS)
• Driving license B

YOUR RESPONSABILITY

In close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager, you are responsible

• Responsibility for monitoring the works and the project schedule during the project realisation
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
• Control costs and project planning
• Identify technical, financial, and contractual risks
• Coordination and supervision of sub-contractors andadditional suppliers
• Ensure that the work performed by subcontractors complies with the contract drawings and specifications
• Undertaking of on-site appointments with clients, engineers,sub-contractors, etc.
• Participate in site meetings and project meetings with the client
• Ensure that all documentation required for the project is delivered and appropriately used
• Participate in the commissioning and start-up of anaerobic digestion plants
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for new anaerobic digestion units
• Comply with and ensure that subcontractors comply with HSE rules
• Promote a zero-accident culture
• Manage non conformities and corrective actions.
