Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Real Estate Project Management team. You will work across sectors on a range of projects on a rotational basis and serve as the key client interface.

The role requires delivering projects on time and within budget, with strong governance and strategic input from conception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction, real estate or project management.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
• Excellent communication skills, in person and written.
• Professional membership desirable (RICS, PMI, CIOB).

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of complex real estate projects to meet time and cost targets.
• Act as day-to-day client interface ensuring objectives are met.
• Advise at strategic level during project conception to achieve objectives.
• Establish success criteria including time, cost, technical and performance.
• Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establish project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
• Project plan, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance.
• Manage the change control process.
• Monitor and advise upon project finances.
• Ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Real Estate Project Management team in Cambridge. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team, working across sectors on a wide variety of projects on a rotational basis. Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale, value and complexity; from local community led initiatives to transnational projects with global resonance.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will:

• Manage the delivery of complex real estate projects, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards
• Act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards
• Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives
• Establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
• Plan for and manage the ongoing quality, safety, health and environment issues
• Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
• Project plan, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
• Manage the change control process
• Monitor and advise upon project finances
• Ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree qualified in relevant construction, real estate or project management discipline
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required
• Excellent communication skills, in person and written
• Professional membership desirable, such as RICS, PMI, or CIOB
