Job summary

Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager (Bogie Systems)

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £450 - £500 per day inside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3 months rolling contract

Our client is a world-renowned company specializing in refurbishing and overhauling rolling stock systems, subsystems, and vehicles. Operating globally with a strong presence in the UK, they have a robust order book and customer base.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in delivering overhaul programs for bogie systems and wheelsets.
  2. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  3. Manage projects to support the safe operation of overhauled systems and components.
  4. Coordinate with supplier services to meet project objectives.
  5. Report project progress, issues, costs, and risks to ensure business visibility.
  6. Conduct regular project reviews to monitor performance.
  7. Maintain communication with customers regarding project status, delays, and successes.
  8. Manage cost control from a production perspective.

General Requirements:

  • Previous project management experience within the rolling stock industry is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience with contract agreements.
  • Proficiency with MS Projects and basic Microsoft Office packages; experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills related to internal, customer, or supplier issues in rolling stock projects.
  • Relevant HND or higher qualification in engineering principles.
  • Project Management qualification, chartership, or accreditation is highly desirable.
