Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a maternity cover position in the Special Projects Team. The role involves delivering diverse projects within the Environment and Transport Department while ensuring effective stakeholder management and communication. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager within the Special Projects Team. Special Projects are based within the Business Support and Management function of the Environment and Transport Department. (Maternity Cover)
The team delivers a wide range of projects that support the management team and wider department. These can include medium term financial projects that aim to reduce costs or increase income, business service and customer improvements, procurement projects, and elected member liaison.
The postholder will have a diverse and varied range of non-construction projects to deliver that often require careful stakeholder management and partnership working.
About the Role
You will already be an experienced project manager with a proven track record of delivering successful and varied projects that are relevant to this role. Applicants will need to demonstrate proven capability of delivery in a large organisation and be able to work across teams and departments as part of a project management team with minimum supervision and support.
