Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Wimbledon Asset Replacement Scheme, a nationally significant project modernising London's electricity transmission assets.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage safety, schedule and budget, and work closely with National Grid and design partners to deliver a technically challenging infrastructure solution.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering major infrastructure, energy or complex civil engineering projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing specialist subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme, cost, quality and project risk.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety, quality and environmental management within major construction projects.
• Experience working collaboratively with clients, designers and supply chain partners to successfully deliver complex projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering high‑quality infrastructure safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Wimbledon Asset Replacement Scheme.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through the construction phase.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
• Work closely with National Grid, designers, commercial teams and specialist supply chain partners.
• Manage complex interfaces in a constrained urban environment to deliver the project.
