Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Wimbledon Asset Replacement Scheme, modernising a 275kV air-insulated substation into a 400kV GIS. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating civil and electrical works, while working with National Grid, designers and contractors to deliver this high-profile project in a constrained urban environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering major infrastructure, energy or complex civil projects as a Project Manager.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing specialist subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme, cost, quality and project risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Wimbledon Asset Replacement Scheme, coordinating civil and electrical works.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with National Grid, designers, commercial teams and supply chain partners.
• Coordinate delivery in a constrained urban environment with detailed planning and stakeholder management.
