We have the opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Business Transformation department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Project Delivery and will play a key role in managing and delivering high-impact projects, working closely with Business and IT Stakeholders, End Users, IT Delivery Partners and Third Party Suppliers as well as internal teams to ensure that the projects meet business goals and deliver real value. The role will oversee the complete project lifecycle, from defining project scope and milestones to ensuring effective communication, governance, and seamless product deliver.
This role includes responsibility for:
- Working closely with IT Stakeholders, Programme Managers (if required) and IT partners to ensure the project is mobilised and structured appropriately (including project initiation documentation, project plan, RAID & RACI logs and budget).
- Managing the delivery of the project to agreed timescales and budget to achieve the goals and benefits expected, escalating issues to the Head of Project Delivery and/or Programme Manager as required.
- Producing and managing the project plan to include IT, 3rd party supplier and business activity.
- Managing 3rd party suppliers to ensure delivery to scope, plan and budget.
- Managing the project activities of resources aligned to project, this may include but not limited to Business Analyst's, Testers, Infrastructure Delivery (permanent or contract) and PMO representation on the project.
- Managing and agreeing project scope and any change requests.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, ensuring alignment and support for project initiative
- Managing risks, issues and project dependencies, and developing any necessary mitigation plans.
- Producing regular reporting for the Sponsor and for project and/or programme boards.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of effectively managing complex projects and will also be experienced working within Insurance/London Market. You will take a structured approach to project management demonstrating proficiency with various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Waterfall and Agile. It would also be beneficial to have experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools as would the ability to initiate, grow and maintain strong working relationships at all levels. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter that is highly motivated, who is adaptable with good interpersonal skills.
