Job summary

The Air Ambulance Service Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead our London Marathon fundraising programme from Rugby. You will manage end-to-end planning, delivery and evaluation, ensuring strong governance and timely reporting.

Responsible for maximizing income and creating engaging supporter journeys, you will collaborate with fundraising colleagues to align the marathon with broader objectives and deliver a high-quality participant experience throughout the event cycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management within fundraising, events or charity sector.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception to evaluation.
• Demonstrable success in delivering income-generating activities and meeting financial targets.
• Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience using data and insight to improve performance and supporter engagement.
• Experience of working on a challenge event portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the end-to-end planning, delivery and evaluation of the charity's London Marathon fundraising programme.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers and reporting mechanisms.
• Ensure effective governance and project management processes are in place to deliver programme objectives.
• Maximise fundraising income from London Marathon participants through effective supporter journeys, communications and stewardship.
• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to ensure the marathon programme complements and strengthens wider fundraising objectives.
• Create and deliver a high-quality supporter experience that inspires, motivates and retains participants as supporters.

What We're Looking For:

Essential

• Proven experience in project management, ideally within fundraising, events or the charity sector.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception to evaluation.
• Demonstrable success in delivering income-generating activities and meeting financial targets.
• Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience using data and insight to improve performance and supporter engagement.
• Experience of working on a challenge event portfolio

Desriable

• Proven experience of managing or delivering a charity London Marathon fundraising programme.
