Job summary

Amnesty International UK (AIUK) invites applications for an Events Fundraiser within the Community & Events Fundraising Team. The role involves coordinating flagship events such as the London Marathon, negotiating, budgeting, and marketing across multiple projects, with a 2-day-per-week office presence.

Qualifications

Job Summary

About the role

The Community & Events Fundraising Team help us achieve our goal of raising significant funds for our human rights work. The Events Fundraiser is accountable for our key challenge event portfolio including flagship events such as the London Marathon and the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with fundraisers who have each committed to raising hundreds or thousands of pounds and in return expect full support and quality advice to inspire and support them in their fundraising. The role also supports multiple other events and would include a variety of skills including negotiating, writing, project management, budgeting, marketing etc.

This role typically needs to spend 2 days per week in the office to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. More details can be found by downloading the job description from our careers portal.

The role may be for you if:
  • You're skilled in customer and fundraising support and enjoy working at speed.
  • You can easily pivot between multiple projects and your attention to detail can be relied upon.
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture and can easily integrate yourself into a new post and team.
  • You also have a good knowledge of Supporter Fundraising and experience of Sponsored Events Programmes.
