This is an opportunity to work on complex infrastructure schemes within a consultancy offering structured career progression, professional development and international career opportunities.

The role

As Project Manager, you will provide client-facing project management services on major infrastructure, utilities and complex construction projects, including schemes valued at £100m+.

You will bring together multidisciplinary teams, establish robust delivery plans and manage commissions to achieve client objectives in challenging, fast-moving environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering project management services across major UK infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including commercial, programme controls and engineering specialists.

  • Understanding client requirements and establishing clear project objectives and baseline delivery plans.

  • Managing project delivery against agreed programme, cost, quality and contractual requirements.

  • Managing delivery under NEC4, Network Rail and/or FIDIC contracts, as relevant to the commission.

  • Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners.

  • Preparing clear technical reports and project communications.

  • Supporting bids and proposals for new work.

  • Mentoring and advising junior colleagues.

  • Capturing and sharing knowledge to improve delivery across projects and support the wider team.

About you

Our client is looking for a proactive, commercially aware Project Manager with experience delivering UK infrastructure, civil engineering or complex construction projects within a consultancy or client organisation.

You will be comfortable working directly with clients, coordinating specialist teams and taking ownership of delivery in a demanding project environment.

You will bring:

  • Project management experience on UK infrastructure, utilities or complex construction schemes, including projects valued at £100m+.

  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery teams.

  • Knowledge and practical experience of NEC4, Network Rail and/or FIDIC contracts.

  • Membership of a relevant professional institution, such as APM, RICS or ICE, or evidence of working towards a recognised professional qualification.

  • Strong technical writing, communication and client-facing skills.

  • A well-organised, diligent and commercially astute approach.

  • Experience supporting bids and mentoring junior colleagues.

  • The ability to obtain security clearance.

What’s on offer?
  • Salary of £45,000-£55,000.

  • A structured route for career progression.

  • Support with professional development and qualifications.

  • Exposure to major infrastructure programmes and international clients.

  • Opportunities for international moves and secondments.

  • A collaborative working environment with opportunities to develop across sectors.
