Job summary

Global Payments in Manchester is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join the Solution Design & Programme Delivery team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will coordinate projects from planning through delivery, translating priorities into clear plans and milestones.

You’ll work with Product, Technology, Sales, Operations and Service teams to align activities and monitor risks, with a focus on delivering business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Awareness of project management standards and methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, PDLC).
• Experience organizing project plans, schedules, actions, decisions, deliverables and resources.
• Good understanding of timelines, risks, budgets, quality and governance in delivery.

What you’ll own

• Work across Product, Technology, Sales, Operations and Service teams to align activities, dependencies, impacts and responsibilities.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, actions, decisions and change requests, escalating early when support or decisions are needed.
• Prepare clear project updates using KPIs, benefits, budget and change control information to show progress against business outcomes.
• Contribute to delivery templates, process improvements, launch readiness, handovers and lessons learned.

What you’ll bring

• Awareness of project management standards and methodologies, such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile methodologies, and PDLC practices.
• Experience organizing project plans, schedules, actions, decisions, deliverables, and resource information.
• Good understanding of timelines, risks, issues, budgets, quality expectations, and governance in a delivery environment.
• Ability to use data, structured reporting and project information to keep delivery visible and inform decisions.
• Positive working style, with clear communication, strong organization, problem-solving, teamwork and stakeholder relationship skills.
