Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager (Healthcare Construction) based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will oversee complex healthcare projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring compliance with NEC4 contracts and effective stakeholder management. Qualifications

  • Experience from a consultancy or client organization managing construction projects.
  • Pre and post contract project management expertise over the RIBA lifecycle.
  • Ability to maintain accurate project records in both paper and electronic formats.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Healthcare projects within Scotland, overseeing all phases from beginning to close out.
  • Administer NEC4 contracts and ensure stakeholder management processes.
  • Work independently while receiving technical guidance on complex issues.

Project Manager (Healthcare Construction)

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex Healthcare projects within Scotland, involving a combination of the following:
    • Administer the NEC4 suite of contracts
    • Projects involving multiple services provided by AECOM
    • Manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out)
    • Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions
    • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects

Required Experience
  • Experience from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to successfully support and lead construction projects
  • Pre and post contract design /project management expertise over the RIBA lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • NEC4 Contract Administration (Accreditation if positive)
  • Maintain accurate project records (both paper and electronic)
  • Robust Stakeholder Management process
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
  • Academic Qualification – ideally Project Management/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Master’s Degree
  • NEC 3/4 accreditation
  • Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, APM or other equivalent institution
  • Clear understanding of NHS Scotland requirements, such as NHS Scotland Processes, Governance and Compliance
