The role

They are now seeking a Project Manager, with healthcare experience, to be based out of their London office, who can successfully drive the business forward in the region, deliver existing projects, and maintain key client relationships, whilst being an integral part of their wider business plan.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of healthcare projects in London. • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with healthcare clients, principal contractors, consultants, and all other stakeholders. Ensure consistent alignment among all parties regarding progress, expectations, and objectives through effective communication and the negotiation of timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Strategise and implement risk mitigation specific to healthcare environments. Proactively monitor for potential issues and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure all deliverables consistently meet the highest quality standards, strictly adhering to healthcare regulations, client specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Closely monitor budgets and expenditure to ensure efficient resource utilisation. Actively explore cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Inspire and lead project teams to cultivate a collaborative and solution-oriented work environment. Guide team members, delegate tasks effectively, and manage performance.
  • Generate clear and concise reports for clients and senior stakeholders. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical drawings.

The candidate

We are seeking a confident, entrepreneurial and ambitious individual with a commercial mindset. The ideal candidate will be eager to work hard and contribute to an exciting and growing business.

  • Hold a degree in Project Management or Construction Management, or possess a Project Management certification (e.g., AMP, PMP).
  • A master's degree or professional membership (e.g., MCIOB or MRICS) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the healthcare sector, unless transferable skills from another industry can be demonstrably applied.
  • Spearheading lead generation and business development are critical.
  • Demonstrated capability in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Possesses strong skills in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Experience using project management software (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera)
  • Great leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK construction regulations, particularly healthcare compliance standards.
  • Highly adaptable to managing change and uncertainty in dynamic environments.
  • Proactive in pinpointing challenges and developing successful resolutions.
  • A keen eye for detail in documentation, compliance, and deliverables is essential.
  • Adept at managing team dynamics and client relationships with empathy and tact.
  • The ability to tailor communication strategies for clinical environments.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare construction regulations, including HTM/HBN standards, particularly within live healthcare environments. This includes adherence to strict infection control and access protocols.
  • Familiarity with how built environments impact healthcare delivery and clinical workflows.
  • Familiarity with healthcare delivery models (primary, secondary, and tertiary care).
  • Able to provide support for the adoption of new processes or technologies within healthcare interfaces.

Join an experienced team of professionals and become an integral part of a collaborative and thriving business experiencing an exciting phase of growth. A competitive package and opportunities for advancement within the company are on offer.
