Job summary

Gardline Limited, part of the Boskalis group, is seeking a Project Manager – Geotechnical in the United Kingdom. You will manage project performance and lifecycle, develop execution plans, and maintain client communications through calls, visits or reports.

The role emphasises leadership, progress tracking, opportunity spotting, and lessons learned, with on-site activities at Great Yarmouth and collaboration across our offshore energy projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a technical or business discipline.
• PM qualification desirable is an advantage.
• Strong numeracy skills are required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Project.
• Knowledge or experience in the offshore energy sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build effective client relationships and carry out client visits and formal presentations.
• Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring financial, contractual and HSSE obligations are met.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of the service through collaboration with colleagues.
• Demonstrate Health and Safety leadership.
• Assist with other duties as requested by the Business Line Manager; training will be provided.

Make your mark as a Project Manager – Geotechnical

Gardline has an opportunity to join our project management team within our Geotechnical Division.

As a Project Manager at Gardline you will be primarily responsible for the performance and lifecycle of a commercial project. Following a handover from the commercial team, you will be responsible for developing the project execution plans whilst keeping in touch with our clients on calls, visits or reports to update them on the progress of their project. You will need excellent people management skills as you will also maintain relationships with finance, HSSE and our Operations teams during the execution of the project. You will need an analytical mindset to track progress, forecast completion, look for opportunities for improvement and identify lessons learned.

Your primary responsibilities will be as follows:

• Build effective client relationships as well as carrying out client visits and formal presentations.
• Co-ordination and management of projects, ensuring all financial, contractual and other obligations are achieved in accordance with the agreed terms of reference and in accordance with the Company’s HSSE standards.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of the service through positive support and joint working with colleagues throughout the Group
• Demonstrate Health and Safety leadership
• Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the Business Line Manager. Additional training will be provided if required.

Your qualities

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (technical or business)
• Project Management and or higher-level Leadership & Management qualification desirable
• A high level of numeracy
• A high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite of packages, particularly MS Excel, Word and Project
• Knowledge/experience within the offshore energy sector
