Job summary

Soil Engineering Geoservices Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Operations team, delivering geotechnical projects across the UK from our Leeds base.

You will manage day-to-day site control, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and programme, and will lead client meetings while coordinating with the commercial team. Travel across the UK and some away-from-home work is required.

The Role

Following a period of growth, and to strengthen our existing teams, we are looking for an experienced, proactive, motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Operations team, delivering work to clients throughout the UK.

No 2 days will be the same!

Working in a fast paced, varied role, you will be required to manage day to day operational site control of ground investigation and geotechnical projects varying in size within the UK, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, performance to programme and customer service, leading client meetings, and coordinating with commercial teams. Working with the Site team, you will manage contracts to ensure that they perform in line with budget, maintaining a motivated, effective and safety conscious workforce.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in contracts management, particularly within infrastructure and energy sectors, and possess strong communication skills.

Based from our Leeds office, it will require regular travel to office and site locations.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for qualified candidates with experience within the geotechnical industry, with a solid understanding of ground conditions, Drilling and Site Investigation works.

Candidates should have a good understanding of geotechnical processes and contract management, with great communication skills both orally and written.

Candidates must be customer-service focused and have a professional approach, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with clients and members of the regional team.

Full UK Driving License Required.

Previous work experience within the construction Industry is essential. Experience of living and working away from home would be an advantage. Must be flexible in terms of work and location.

The job will involve frequent travel to sites throughout the UK, and will involve working away from home, as such, applicants must be flexible in terms of work and location.
