Job Description:

Wipro is looking for a Project Manager – General Insurance – GenAI with previous experience of working as a Project Manager in General Insurance space and managing GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) projects. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation.

As a Project Manager – General Insurance – GenAI you will be a part of Wipro Domain & Consulting Business Line. With an entrepreneurial mindset and creative outlook, we evaluate customers’ problems and craft innovative solutions that involve the use of technologies like Cloud, AI, 5G and robotic automation.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible to manage and deliver projects for our client within their General Insurance portfolio primarily managing GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) related projects.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and allocation of resources.
2. Lead project teams, including internal and external partners, ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals and objectives.
3. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
4. Maintain clear and open communication channels with project partners, providing regular updates and reports.
5. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and best practices.
6. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, making vital adjustments to stay within budget.
7. Lead project scope and change requests, ensuring they align with project objectives.
8. Champion strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members to improve collaboration and project success.
9. Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
10. Identify and resolve project issues and obstacles to keep projects on track.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

1. Previous experience of working in the UK General Insurance space.
2. Experience in GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence).
3. Experience of leading projects related to either of the following: Corporate Pension fund migrations, New product launches, Infrastructure builds.
4. Should have managed complex projects including budgets, team size, technologies, platforms.
5. Strong understanding of insurance schemes, insurance processes, ways of working, value chain.
6. Ability to apply core Project Management disciplines - planning, issue/risk management, chasing down actions, reporting etc.
7. Experience of having worked with strategic outsource providers would be beneficial.
8. Strong business engagement skills and the ability to bring people together to seek out mutually beneficial solutions, and approaches to issues or problem areas.
9. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
10. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, Jira and Confluence, and the concept of a PM in an Agile environment.
