Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Project Manager to lead a Marine Civils & Port Infrastructure package at a live port facility in Folkestone. You will oversee programmes, risk, and coordination with client and subcontractors to deliver civil works safely and to schedule.

The role focuses on CDM 2015 compliance, temporary works coordination, and hands-on site management, with a day rate in the £350-£420 range. Immediate start for an experienced PM in civil engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing civil engineering schemes in ports, infrastructure, or utilities.
• Strong background in CDM 2015, subcontractor management, and commercial delivery.
• CSCS Card & First Aid (Temporary Works / Lifting qualifications desirable).

Responsibilities

• Programming & Risk: Develop master schedules, manage 3-week lookaheads, and drive risk mitigation.
• Stakeholder Management: Main point of contact for the client, port operations, and third parties.
• Commercial & Procurement: Manage subcontractor procurement, site performance, and commercial control.
• Site Management & QA: Oversee design management, Quality Assurance, site teams, and strict CDM 2015/H&S compliance.

Project Manager (Marine Civils & Port Infrastructure)

Location: Folkestone

Rate: £350 - £420 per day (Negotiable via CIS)

Working Pattern: Fully Site-Based (07:30 - 17:00)

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Project Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a civil engineering package at a live port facility in Folkestone. The scope includes superstructure demolition at a viaduct end, basement infill, concrete/drainage reinstatement, Passenger Boarding Bridge (SPBB) removal, new foundations, and temporary works.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Risk: Develop master schedules, manage 3-week lookaheads, and drive risk mitigation.
• Stakeholder Management: Main point of contact for the client, port operations, and third parties.
• Commercial & Procurement: Manage subcontractor procurement, site performance, and commercial control.
• Site Management & QA: Oversee design management, Quality Assurance, site teams, and strict CDM 2015/H&S compliance.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience.
