Project Manager - Fit Out

About the role:

Group Metropolitan have secured a two-and-a-half-floor CAT B fit-out in a finance building in Canary Wharf. Group Metropolitan will be the project's main contractor and will be responsible for all specialist trade packages. We are recruiting an experienced project manager to lead and manage the fit-out.

Hours: 07:00 – 16:00

Location: London, Canary Wharf

Salary: Negotiable + Package

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plans, manages and coordinates the construction phase plan
  • Responsible for managing and resolving any issues that arise during the project.
  • Chair client, sub-contractor and internal meetings when required.
  • Responsible for project delivery and quality in line with client and company expectations.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance methods/standards to assure delivery of projects.
  • Implement and maintain HSQE procedures from pre-start to project completion to ensure full compliance with all company HSQE standards, policies, processes, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are robust, up to date, understood and implemented.
  • Be aware of and ensure contract terms are understood and adhered to.
  • Ensure that all site records are kept up to date in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sub-contractors, and supply chain.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to reduce Cost and or add value to the project.
  • Ensure the high site standards set out at the start of the project are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure all persons working on site have the correct competence and training for the role they are carrying out

Requirements:

  • CSCS Managers Card.
  • SMSTS.
  • Extensive experience as a fit-out project manager.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise of Fit out packages.
  • Comprehensive awareness of health & safety, CDM and environmental legislation and good practice.
  • Main Contractor experience.
  • Proficient in programme software and programme management.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Experienced in running effective and productive meetings with a subcontractor.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Communicates well and effectively at all levels.
  • Client-management, must be able to meet and discuss operational matters with professionalism.
  • Forward thinking, takes initiative and can foresee issues before they arise.
  • Ability to enforce processes.
  • Good knowledge of excel and projects.
  • Knowledge of Procore is desirable.
  • Reliable.
  • Detail and ultimately quality orientated.
