Job Opportunity: Project Manager at Homer Burgess

Homer Burgess, part of the RSK Group, is a family-run mechanical engineering company founded in 1958 and based in Dumfries, Scotland. We offer design, fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance services. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at our Dumfries headquarters, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a diverse environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be a key contributor to a growing team. The position is within our operations team, which includes 8 members such as operations managers, draftsmen, and the SHEQ team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight: Manage various projects ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
2. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement lean processes to boost productivity and quality.
3. Operations & Coordination: Collaborate to streamline workflows and enhance communication.
4. Business Development Support: Support growth initiatives and client engagement.
5. People & Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
6. Financial & Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resources, and timelines to meet business objectives.
7. Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to eco-friendly solutions reducing environmental impact.

Person Specification:

1. Experience in project management or leadership roles.
2. A proactive problem solver with diverse responsibilities.
3. Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
