We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager (Engineer) to lead and manage medium to large-scale projects across differing industry sectors. The focus will be on delivering complex projects related to Process Safety, Machinery Safety, ATEX, and Cybersecurity. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Duties and responsibilities:
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.
Ensure all project deliverables comply with relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to ATEX (2014/34/EU), IEC 61511, IEC 62443, Machinery Directive, DSEAR, and Cybersecurity frameworks.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met.
Provide technical guidance on process safety, machinery safety, explosion protection (ATEX), and cybersecurity where necessary to support project execution.
Work closely with engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Stay up to date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring project methodologies align with the latest standards.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and suppliers.
Conduct regular project meetings, prepare reports, and provide status updates to senior management.
Ensure effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project delivery.
Support business development teams by providing technical input on proposals, bids, and client consultations.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures for project management in the TIC sector.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Cybersecurity) or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience in project management within the TIC industry, focusing on safety, compliance, and certification projects.
Strong knowledge of process safety, machinery safety, ATEX, and cybersecurity regulations and standards.
Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM) or relevant experience managing technical compliance projects.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects successfully.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and analytical approach to risk management.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
Experience working with Notified Bodies, regulatory agencies, or industrial certification processes.
Knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/61511), cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443, NIS2), and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, DSEAR).
Familiarity with TIC industry requirements and best practices.
