Job summary

Sizewell C Company seeks a Project Manager for Enabling and Earthworks at Sizewell C to deliver the R-Fills scope within the Enabling and Earthworks section. This site-based role requires coordinating safety, schedule and quality across construction, engineering, environmental and commercial teams.

You will lead earthworks, bulk excavation, material reuse programs, monitor progress, and implement recovery plans to meet programme milestones and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong background in earthworks, bulk excavation, or material reuse.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex, and highly regulated construction sites.
• Familiarity with UK construction standards and practices (SZC/HPC experience advantageous).

• Lead the delivery of the R-Fills scope, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and cost targets.

Project Manager - Enabling and Earthworks - Sizewell C - Suffolk Site based Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theEnabling and Earthwork Section.

What will you do?

The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of R-Fills scope within the Enabling and Earthworks section of the CWA at Sizewell C (SZC). This includes planning, coordination, and execution of earthworks and material reuse activities in line with project objectives, safety standards, and programme requirements.

The role is site-based and requires strong collaboration with construction, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams.

• Lead the delivery of the R-Fills scope, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and cost targets
• Oversee site operations related to bulk earthworks, material handling, and reuse strategies
• Ensure work is executed in compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards

What are we looking for?

Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in major infrastructure or civil engineering projects
• Strong background in earthworks, bulk excavation, or material reuse (R-Fills experience desirable)
• Experience working on large-scale, complex, and highly regulated construction sites
• Familiarity with UK construction standards and practices (SZC/HPC experience advantageous)

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable
