Summary

A world-leading engineering company like the NCC needs a world-leading project management team to keep the cogs turning!

The NCC is moving into a new sector, and you’ll have responsibility for one of our large initial projects in this new sector to setup our new facilities, support business change activities required to work with our clients.

You’ll also supporting transformational change at the NCC and this is an exciting project to be involved in as you’ll get the opportunity to see it from start to finish.

Using established project management processes you’ll work with operations and other NCC project delivery teams to ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.

Specifically you'll focus on the following activities;

  • Responsible for supporting the successful execution of projects through any or all the phases of a project lifecycle: initiation, requirements capture, planning, execution and closure.
  • Ensure all project management processes are followed including: effective risk identification and mitigation, change control, maintenance of documentation logs, updating project reporting and creation and management of project plans.
  • Support weekly and monthly project review meetings to ensure all elements of project delivery are achieved.
  • Ensure all members of the project team have clear visibility of project booking codes and are accurately reflecting all the hours worked on the project
  • Ensure all projects adhere to NCC quality, health and safety processes and actively promote a positive H&S culture within the team.
  • Maintain up to date project plans covering all live and pipeline projects.
  • Ensure all project plans are correctly resourced so that capacity planning can be conducted.

So, what are we looking for in your application?

We will prioritise applications with background in fields such as defence, facilities, manufacturing or research & development. Specific experience we will look for in your CV would include;

  • DV Security Clearance (SC as a minimum)
  • Experience working as an established Project Manager.
  • Experience running projects focused on facilities management, manufacturing or construction.
  • Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Planning experience using MS Project

In terms of personal qualities we look for the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, good organisation skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
