Job summary

CPR Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager for a hotel refurbishment and conversion project in Leicester. You will oversee the refurbishment of about 180 rooms, an extension, new-build elements, and groundworks, while the site is fully closed for works.

The role requires proven hotel project experience, strong scheduling, procurement, and change management skills to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and CSCS Card are required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Experience on hotel build/refurbishment projects is essential.
• Background in new build, structural works or groundworks is preferred over hotel fit-out only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update the build programme on a regular basis.
• Coordinate and book all trades.
• Ensure trades perform to programme and high standards.
• Order materials, fixtures and fittings and manage procurement.
• Liaise with architects/clients on design/site issues to resolve.
• Manage design changes and keep project on budget and on time.

Job description

Project Manager - Leicester - Hotel Refurbishment & Conversion - ASAP start date until August 2027.

The works include refurbishment of approximately 180 rooms, an extension, new-build and groundworks, high-ropes element, a link corridor and underpinning. The hotel will be completely closed and stripped out during the works.

Our client is a main-contractor who specialise in Hotel Refurbishments, and they are looking for a Project Manager to deliver the project in Leicester.

Project Manager will be expected to:

• Monitor and update the build programme on regular basis
• Coordinate/ book all trades
• Ensure trades are performing to program and to highest standard
• Order/ request ordering of materials, fixtures and fittings
• Liaise with us and architect/client on any design /site issues that need resolving
• Keep on top of design changes
• Responsible for delivering the project on budget and on time.

Skills/ Qualifications required:

• SMSTS & CSCS Card
• First Aid Certificate
• Previous hotel build/refurbishment experience
• Previous new build, structural and groundworks background rather than someone focused solely on hotel fit-out.
