Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Project Manager to lead a Britannia energy storage (BESS) site project in Leeds. You will drive delivery on large energy infrastructure works, coordinating design, procurement and construction teams to meet time and cost targets.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience on major energy projects, strong commercial acumen, and proven ability to manage stakeholders, risk and NEC contracts within regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in National Grid substation projects and related frameworks.
• Delivery leadership on design and build projects with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management with clients and suppliers.
• Strong commercial experience and NEC contracts knowledge.
• Regulatory knowledge including HSWA, CDM, EAWR.
• Experience managing budgets with delivery to time and cost.
• Familiarity with project management software.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery at a BESS site in Leeds, coordinating design, procurement and construction.
• Manage budgets, schedules and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to maintain alignment and governance.
• Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and regulatory requirements.

Our client are one of the UKs largest energy and infrastructure companies are looking for a Project Manager for their BESS site in Leeds. The Poject manager will have strong commercial accument and at least 5 years experience on large energy infrastructure projects.

Successful candidates will have:

• National Grid Substation build experience – including workable knowledge of NG SRs, Rules, EPC / M&E Framework
• Proven leadership on Design and Build projects, managing cross functional teams
• Excellent stakeholder management skills engaging with clients and suppliers
• Qualification in construction / engineering and / or relevant experience Strong commercial experience with NEC contracts
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk and opportunity
• Strong regulatory knowledge including HSWA, CDM, EAWR etc.
• Experience managing budgets with history of delivery to time and cost
• History of using Project Management software
• Full UK Driving licence
