Job Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in the construction industry (building fabric, building services, and minor works) to join our Project Teams delivering construction projects across a number of public and private sector contracts in the Midlands area, England.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects in the most cost-effective manner, demonstrating ‘value for money', across Mitie's portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include identifying and procuring the services of specialist designers and contractors, managing compliance with project delivery methodologies, governance, gateway approvals, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. The Project Manager will also oversee all change management during a project lifecycle, in accordance with contract requirements.
This position is mobile, mainly covering the Midlands area, with occasional travel across the UK. The successful candidate must undertake security BPSS prior to starting and obtain Security Clearance (SC level and NPPV level 2).
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in project development and delivery, with experience across pre-construction and construction phases of multiple projects. A degree in surveying or a construction-related discipline is preferred. Membership of a relevant institute (e.g., RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE, MIET, or APM) and a health & safety qualification are desirable.
