Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead major highway reconstruction schemes in the East Midlands. You will take operational, commercial, and safety leadership to deliver schemes on time, within budget, and to highway standards, coordinating with clients, designers, authorities, and stakeholders.

The role requires a track record of delivering live highway projects for Tier 1/2 civil contractors, with NEC contract experience (Options A/C), strong leadership, and a UK

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent industry experience).
• Proven experience leading major highway schemes for Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors.
• Active CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and a valid UK driving licence (APM or professional membership desirable).
• Strong command of NEC forms of contract (Options A/C), program risk management, and collaborative framework delivery.

This Project Manager position offers an outstanding opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering landmark highways infrastructure across the East Midlands. Based on a major national highways framework, you will take operational, commercial, and safety leadership for major highway reconstruction and improvement schemes.

About You

You are an established Project Manager with a proven track record delivering major civil engineering schemes, specifically within live highways or strategic road networks. You possess exceptional leadership capability, client management expertise, and solid NEC contractual acumen.

• Hold a recognised Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent industry experience).

• Demonstrate proven experience as a Project Manager leading major highway schemes for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractor.

• Hold essential credentials: an active CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and a valid UK driving licence (with APM or professional membership desirable).

• Show strong command of NEC forms of contract (Options A/C), program risk management, and collaborative framework delivery.
