Job summary

Urban Connect LTD. is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects across the North West, ensuring safe delivery on time and within budget. You will manage site teams and coordinate with designers and subcontractors to uphold quality and safety standards.

You will play a key role in major infrastructure schemes, including Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP), maintaining profitability and a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS Black Manager card.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Project delivery – Oversee site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on programme, to specification and within budget.
• Team leadership – Lead and support site teams, driving performance, accountability and collaboration.
• Health & Safety – Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Commercial management – Work with Quantity Surveyor and Contracts Manager to manage costs, protect profitability and mitigate risks.
• Stakeholder management – Maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.

PROJECT MANAGER – CIVILS

North West of England

Due to continued expansion and the award of multiple new contracts, we're looking for an experienced Civils Project Manager to join an established construction and civil engineering business.

The company delivers projects across demolition, civil engineering and enabling works, with opportunities to contribute to major infrastructure schemes, including the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP).

The Opportunity

We're looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager to take ownership of civil engineering projects, leading site teams and ensuring safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Project delivery – Oversee site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on programme, to specification and within budget.
• Team leadership – Lead and support site teams, driving performance, accountability and collaboration.
• Health & Safety – Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Commercial management – Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor and Contracts Manager to manage costs, protect profitability and mitigate risks.
• Stakeholder management – Maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified
• Proven experience managing earthworks, highways and infrastructure projects
• First Aid at Work qualification
• SMSTS qualification
• CSCS Black Manager card
• Valid UK driving licence

Experience in demolition, civils and enabling works would be advantageous.
