MDE are working with a leading investor and developer in the energy infrastructure space, supporting the expansion of their project delivery function. The company is focused on the development and execution of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, typically 50MW+ in capacity and often involving complex transmission network connections.
Role
The Project Manager will operate client-side, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of grid-scale battery storage projects from early development through to construction and commissioning. The role involves overseeing the delivery of high-voltage, grid-connected BESS projects, managing interfaces with contractors, DNOs, and other key stakeholders, and ensuring that project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving progress through all project phases, including development, design, procurement, and construction.
While experience in transmission-level infrastructure is highly desirable, the company also welcomes applications from candidates with an electrical engineering or commissioning background - particularly those with experience delivering high-voltage assets.
