Job summary

Proactive Appointments Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex Azure tenant and datacentre decommissioning programme. The role requires navigating cloud migration, security, service transition and senior stakeholder management across a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate will have a technically capable background with strong communication skills and be available from mid-September for a six-month contract inside IR35.

Project Manager – Azure / Datacentre Decommissioning

Hybrid -| £400–££440 per day |- September start – 6 month contract Inside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex Azure tenant and datacentre decommissioning programme.

This is a technically challenging transformation requiring someone who can confidently operate across programme leadership, cloud migration, security, service transition and senior stakeholder management.

We’re looking for experience in:

• Azure consolidation
• Azure Landing Zones, Entra, RBAC, Azure Policy & networking
• VM and subscription migrations across business services
• SaaS transformation, debt & EOL remediation
• DR, RTO/RPO, testing & Cyber Essentials Plus
• Migration planning, testing & service acceptance
• Experience of Business cases, operating models & FinOps/cost optimisation
• Service transition and BAU readiness
• Managing internal SMEs, stakeholders, Service Managers & vendors
• Security and support of successful PEN testing

You’ll need to be a strong communicator and stakeholder manager, able to navigate complex environments, identify migration risks, challenge assumptions and bring practical solutions to the table.

A technically capable background is strongly preferred.
