Job summary

Our client in Worksop is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to deliver a civils and groundworks project on a 3-6 month contract. The role requires management from mobilisation to handover, coordinating earthworks, drainage and ground preparation with site teams and subcontractors.

Candidates should demonstrate extensive civils experience, strong HSE and client-management skills, and hold SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid qualifications with a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Oversee bulk earthworks, cut-and-fill, drainage and ground preparation.
• Coordinate groundworkers, subcontractors, site engineers, plant and materials.
• Manage site levels, formations, excavations and drainage installations.
• Develop and maintain the construction programme.
• Review drawings, specifications, RAMS and quality documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
• Monitor progress, costs, variations, delays and operational risks.
• Lead site meetings and provide progress reports.
• Manage testing, snagging, as-built records and final handover.

Our client, an established specialist contractor, is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to deliver a civils and groundworks project in Worksop.

• Day rate: £400-£450, dependent on experience

Candidate requirements of Project Manager / Site Manager

• Proven ability to manage projects from cradle to grave
• Strong knowledge of drainage, ground preparation and plant-led operations
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or senior Site Manager
• Strong health-and-safety, commercial and client-management skills
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
• Full UK driving licence

Experience in sports facilities, large external works, landscaping or specialist drainage would be advantageous.
