Job summary

Elev8 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead engineering projects from enquiry through to completion, working with customers on site and exercising autonomy to influence delivery. The role covers pipework, fabrication, and multi-disciplinary environments across pharma, chemical and manufacturing sectors.

You will manage programmes, budgets, and subcontractors while coordinating fabrication and installation teams, with a focus on on-time, within-budget delivery and direct customer

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering or mechanical projects and direct customer interaction.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, fabrication or industrial pipework.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
• Experience with quoting, commercial awareness, and ERP systems.

Project Manager

Location: Woolpit, Suffolk

Salary: £58,000 + Electric Company Car

Are you spending more time chasing problems than actually managing projects?

This opportunity gives you the chance to take ownership from day one. You'll manage engineering projects from initial enquiry through to completion, working directly with customers and having the autonomy to make decisions that genuinely influence delivery.

You'll join a well-established engineering business delivering high-quality pipework and fabrication projects across pharmaceutical, chemical and manufacturing environments. The work is varied, technically interesting and visible. You'll see projects through from quotation and planning to installation and final handover.

What we\'re looking for

You\'ll already have experience managing engineering or mechanical projects and be comfortable dealing directly with customers.

You\'ll ideally have experience within:

• Mechanical engineering, fabrication or industrial pipework
• Project planning using Primavera P6 or similar software
• Quoting and commercial awareness
• Welding and fabrication environments
• Reading engineering drawings and CAD documentation
• Working with ERP systems

Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical or regulated manufacturing industries would be advantageous but isn't essential.
