Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Manager – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Works to lead civil, drainage and highway contracts across Yorkshire. You will visit sites regularly to ensure progress, safety, and contractor performance while coordinating clients, consultants and suppliers.

The role requires PM experience in civils/infrastructure, excellent communication, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Project Management experience within the civils, infrastructure, drainage, highways or come from a closely related background
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills)
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Project Manager position responsible for a range of civil engineering, infrastructure, drainage and highway contracts
• Regular site visits across Yorkshire, North East and the North West to monitor project progress, health & safety compliance and contractor performance
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to identify risks and requirements
• Preparing scopes, specifications and methodologies while supporting tenders and pre-construction
• Coordinating clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Managing project costs, variations, forecasts and commercial performance
• Monitoring programmes, identifying risks and delays, and implementing corrective actions
• Ensuring projects meet health & safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Overseeing projects with a value of up to £7m although typically £1m-£2m
