Job summary

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager for a growing national civil engineering main contractor to oversee Yorkshire Water framework workloads.

You’ll manage multiple projects cradle to grave across Yorkshire, travel as needed, and work with in-house design teams, sub-contractors and the commercial team to monitor budgets and deliver on time.

Experience with NEC 3/4, CSCS and a full driving licence is required; an HNC/HND or degree is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Senior Agent / Project Manager level experience with a contractor on civil engineering projects of £2m+.
• Experience managing Water Infra / Heavy Civils projects.
• Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is essential.
• HNC/HND or Degree preferred; CSCS and driving licence are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civil engineering projects cradle to grave.
• Coordinate with in-house design teams and external consultancies.
• Assist Contracts Manager with staff/sub-contractor allocation and work programmes.
• Lead ECI, site investigations, delivery and handover.
• Monitor budgets and costs with the commercial team; address early warnings.
• Prepare site documentation and liaise with Yorkshire Water; conduct progress meetings.

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager on behalf of a growing national civil engineering main contractor to oversee projects across Yorkshire for their busy AMP8 Yorkshire Water framework workload.

Off the back of a successful AMP7, the company has secured a lot of work on the AMP8 framework with Yorkshire Water running to 2030 at least. A 200m+ turnover contractor with a forward thinking regional team undergoing significant growth. Spending time working from their office, from site and from home - the role will require travel across Yorkshire as needed.

Wide range of projects covering: deep drainage, shaft sinking, re-enforced concrete, large storm tanks, rising mains, pipework, pumping stations etc. Projects from 500k to 5m in value typically. All run as main contractor.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Management of multiple projects cradle to grave
• Working with in-house design team & external consultancies
• Assist Contracts Manager with allocation of staff and sub-contractors
• Assist with work programmes
• Leading ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) & site investigation stages as well as delivery & handover
• Liaison with commercial team to monitor budgets & costs
• Dealing with early warnings & compensation events
• Produce relevant documentation for sites
• Client liaison with Yorkshire Water
• Progress meetings & reports

Experience required:

• Candidates must have proven experience at Senior Agent / Project Manager level with a contractor on civil engineering projects of 2m+
• Experience managing Water Infra / Heavy Civils projects for a contractor
• Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is essential
• Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree)
• Must hold: CSCS and Full Driver's License

Remuneration:

A salary of up to 70,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
