Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Highways to join our esteemed client on a key highways framework. The ideal candidate will have previously worked on National Highways contracts and have a solid understanding of general civils, drainage works, and Microsoft Project for effective programme management.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the successful delivery of highways and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to handover.
·Manage project programmes using Microsoft Project to track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
·Coordinate and oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure delivery in line with project specifications, budget, and schedule.
·Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental standards.
·Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.
·Liaise with key stakeholders including National Highways, local authorities, and utility providers.
·Manage commercial aspects in collaboration with the Quantity Surveying team, including forecasting, change control, and cost reporting.

Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Project Manager on Highways projects.
·Previous involvement with National Highways contracts is highly desirable.
·Strong knowledge of general civil engineering and drainage works.
·Proficiency in using Microsoft Project for programme management.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
·Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
·CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates preferred.
·Full UK driving licence.
