Job description

Technical Project Manager – Microsoft Partner

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey – Hybrid

The Opportunity

Nigel Frank International is working with an established Microsoft Partner specialising in cloud and digital transformation to recruit a Technical Project Manager into its growing delivery team.

The business delivers client projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, Copilot and the wider Microsoft ecosystem. It has built a strong reputation for delivering complex technology projects and developing long-term relationships with its customers.

This opportunity would suit someone with proven experience managing technical or IT projects who is comfortable working directly with external clients. You’ll need to understand the commercial side of project delivery, including budgets, invoicing and revenue forecasting, as well as the practical delivery of multiple projects.

This is a client-facing consultancy environment, so candidates whose experience has been entirely focused on internal projects will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of external customer delivery and commercial accountability.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll manage multiple client technology projects concurrently, working closely with customers, consultants, engineers and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing technical projects from initial planning through to successful delivery.
  • Developing project plans and maintaining clear visibility of milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Coordinating consultants, engineers and client stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Managing project scope and ensuring any changes are properly assessed, documented and communicated.
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues and delivery constraints.
  • Monitoring project budgets, invoicing, revenue forecasts and potential financial variances.
  • Providing accurate project reporting and commercial updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Leading regular client meetings and communicating progress clearly and confidently.
  • Ensuring projects remain on track, within scope and aligned with agreed customer outcomes.
  • Building trusted client relationships and identifying opportunities to provide further value.
  • Supporting continuous improvements to project delivery processes and ways of working.
What They’re Looking For

We’re looking for an organised and commercially aware Project Manager who can take genuine ownership of technical projects.

You’ll ideally bring:
  • Previous experience managing technical, IT or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience working across multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
  • Exposure to external client delivery within a consultancy, technology provider, MSP or similar environment.
  • Experience managing or supporting project budgets, invoicing and revenue forecasting.
  • A good understanding of project scope, risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
  • Strong client and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The confidence to provide clear examples of your experience and explain your individual contribution to projects.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to ask informed questions, understand the customer’s environment and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong organisation, planning and time-management skills.
  • A genuine interest in Microsoft technology and digital transformation.

Experience delivering projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, cloud infrastructure or related technologies would be particularly valuable.

Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM or PMP are desirable but not essential.

Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Project Manager who wants greater ownership across the full project lifecycle within an established Microsoft Partner.

You’ll work alongside experienced Microsoft consultants and engineers while managing projects across some of the most widely used technologies in the modern workplace.

The role offers:
  • Exposure to varied Microsoft cloud and digital transformation projects.
  • Direct responsibility for external client engagements.
  • Ownership of project delivery and its commercial performance.
  • The opportunity to develop strong technical and consultancy experience.
  • A collaborative environment with access to experienced Microsoft specialists.
  • Clear opportunities for continued professional development.
  • Company pension
  • Life insurance
  • Health and wellbeing programme
  • Company events
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay
  • Work-from-home flexibility
  • Career development within a growing Microsoft technology environment
