Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is seeking a Project Manager for gas and water utilities with responsibility for overseeing UK-wide projects from inception to completion. The role requires liaising with clients, managing budgets and ensuring safety and quality standards across sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple UK projects to meet service, quality and costs targets.

• Estimate costs and manage contract budgets.
• Implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Oversee site operatives, subcontractors, plant and supply chain.
• Handle costing, invoicing, variations and procurement.

Project Manger – Gas and Water Utilities

Based in South Yorkshire | UK-wide Travel Required
Salary: DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who specialises in the installation of underground gas and water services on construction site throughout the UK.

Duties

• Management of multiple projects around the UK to ensure service, quality and costs are met with the installation and commissioning of new gas and water services
• You will be expected to liaise with clients to discuss requirements of the project and overcome any issues/concerns that arise during the contract phase.
• Ensure quality and efficiency from inception to completion
• Carry out site Visits pre contract and as required for ongoing works
• Estimating and contract budget control
• Implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Day to day running of projects and business needs including management of site operatives, sub-contractors, Plant and supply chain.
• Costing of projects, invoicing, applications, variations
• Purchasing of materials and Hiring of Plant equipment

Requirements

Experience within a utilities or construction industry is essential with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar job role.

• Good knowledge of Health and Safety law
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously varying in value from 5K to 300K

Working hours

• Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm but the right candidate must be flexible with working hours, willing to work overtime when required with occasional lodging and weekend working.
