Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager for Gas and Water Utilities based in South Yorkshire with UK-wide travel. You will oversee multiple projects, liaise with clients, and drive quality and cost-effective delivery from start to finish.

You should have a construction/engineering background, strong contract awareness, and proven management of varied project values. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in utilities or construction project management.
• Must have commercial and contract awareness.
• Understanding of Health and Safety laws is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple UK-wide projects ensuring service, quality and cost targets.
• Liaise with clients to confirm requirements and resolve issues.
• Ensure project quality and efficiency from inception to completion.
• Carry out pre-contract site visits and ongoing site inspections as required.
• Handle costing, budgets, invoicing, and variations.
• Implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations including site operatives, subcontractors, plant and supply chain.

Project Manger – Gas and Water Utilities

Based in South Yorkshire | UK-wide Travel Required
Salary: DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who specialises in the installation of underground gas and water services on construction site throughout the UK.

Duties

• Management of multiple projects around the UK to ensure service, quality and costs are met with the installation and commissioning of new gas and water services
• You will be expected to liaise with clients to discuss requirements of the project and overcome any issues/concerns that arise during the contract phase.
• Ensure quality and efficiency from inception to completion
• Carry out site Visits pre contract and as required for ongoing works
• Estimating and contract budget control
• Implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Day to day running of projects and business needs including management of site operatives, sub-contractors, Plant and supply chain.
• Costing of projects, invoicing, applications, variations
• Purchasing of materials and Hiring of Plant equipment

Requirements

Experience within a utilities or construction industry is essential with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar job role.

• Candidate must have a construction or engineering related Background or qualification
• Commercial and contract awareness
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety law
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously varying in value from 5K to 300K
• Hard working and ambitious
• Good organisational skills with an enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approachli>

• Good communication skills
• IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office
• Driving license

Working hours

• Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm but the right candidate must be flexible with working hours, willing to work overtime when required with occasional lodging and weekend working.
