Wentworth is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of specialist structural works across London and the wider UK. The role focuses on planning, managing and successfully delivering technically challenging site-based projects.

The project manager will coordinate activities with the Operations Director and senior team to ensure labour, materials, plant and equipment are planned and implemented across live projects, maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Summary

Wentworth Technical Services is looking for an experienced and technically-minded Project Manager to support the delivery of specialist structural works across London and the wider UK. This is a key operational role within our growing Technical Services division, focused on the planning, management and successful delivery of technically challenging site-based projects.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in concrete repair, structural remedial works, CFRP installation, strengthening works, hydraulic jacking, temporary works interfaces and specialist structural alterations.

As Project Manager, you will coordinate, manage and report on live WTS projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, professionally, commercially and to the required technical standard. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, monitoring progress, maintaining quality and safety, and reporting to the Operations Director.

You will work closely with the Operations Director, and senior team to ensure labour, materials, plant and equipment are properly planned, allocated and implemented across live projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage specialist site works including concrete repairs, remedial works, CFRP strengthening, hydraulic jacking and structural alteration projects.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to support safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, programme, costs, variations and commercial performance.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, site teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with quotations, scope, programme and client requirements.
  • Review and manage RAMS, work briefs, ITPs, drawings, site reports, photographs and project documentation.
  • Track variations and raise RFIs where required.
  • Coordinate weekly work schedules for site teams.
  • Carry out site inspections, technical reviews and progress checks as required.
  • Promote safe working, quality assurance and best practice across all site activities.
  • Support the development of case studies and marketing material for technically interesting projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction, civil engineering or specialist structural works.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: concrete repair, structural remedials, CFRP, hydraulics and jacking, strengthening works or structural alterations.
  • Good technical understanding of structures, load paths, materials, plant and equipment.
  • Commercial awareness, including cost control, programme management, variations and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills and confident site presence.
  • Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and project documentation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
