Introduction to Project Management
Project Managers are the client facing crew members who organise projects from discovery phase, all the way through to launch, always ensuring that
both the crew and clients are constantly up to date, whilst always
delivering excellent client experience.
The role is always changing, you can be in discovery with one client,
whilst facilitating the QA phase with another.
The ideal candidate should be someone who can easily adapt to change,
remain level headed in challenging situations, provide solutions to the
wider crew and clients, and excels in client experience.
Client experience is paramount here at Brave the Skies. We build
partnerships with our clients, and act as an extension of their teams, so
it’s vitally important every crew member shares this same sentiment.
We don’t just do the bare minimum, we go above and beyond to help our
clients stand out and achieve their goals.
Role and Responsibilities
As part of your role you will be responsible for:
○ Leading discovery sessions (supported by your crew members -
designers and developers)
○ Day to day client communication
○ Delivering excellent client experience at every interaction
○ Ensuring all project deadlines are met.
○ Creating Discovery documentation
○ Scheduling - working closely with the Project Crew and the
Client & Agency Operations Manager to ensure all project team
members are fully resourced at all times
○ Proactively planning each project Milestone.
○ End to end delivery of the full project lifecycle - ensuring
the crew is working towards deadlines, and client goals are met
as well as mitigating scope creep and risks throughout the
project phase Project ranges can be from 8-18 month projects.
○ Submitting end of project reports to the Client and Agency
Operations Manager
○ Monthly revenue report to the finance team based on on output
of the team members on the project.
○ Ensuring projects are delivered on time, to scope and within
budget.
○ Creating Jira tickets
○ Sprint planning
○ Scheduling - working closely with the Crew and the Operations
Manager to ensure the crew is fully resourced at all times.
○ Attending all sprint planning calls, and project stand ups
Onboarding and Support
As part of your onboarding and ongoing support you would have regular
check-in’s and training sessions with a number of BTS Crew members.
You would report directly to the Client and Agency Operations Manager, who would begin your training and ensure you had all necessary resources ready to pave your way for success.
You would be working alongside another Project Manager who would be
available for day to day support, demonstrating the managing of projects
and setting the expectation for exceptional client experience.
You would also work and collaborate with a crew of Growth Managers,
Creative and Design , Development and Technical Leads.
Who Are You
The ideal candidate is someone who,
- Has 3+ years of experience in Agency Project Manager
- Has a good knowledge of Shopify and various other SAS platforms.
- Can work as part of a team, and is friendly and approachable
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is ambitious and looking for a challenge
- Has a can do, proactive attitude.
- Is able to think outside the box in terms of solutions for clients.
- Is keen to learn and develop their skill set
- Is able to look for solutions when problems arise
- Has the ability to manage their own workload in line with upcoming
deadlines
