Job summary

SL Engineering Consultancy in Sheffield is seeking a Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from cradle to grave, ensuring delivery on time and to budget in an office-based role.

You will prepare specifications, source materials, coordinate site activities, and create mechanical and electrical drawings while maintaining standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and delivering projects.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good knowledge of machinery (motors, gearboxes etc.).
• Able to read and produce technical drawings (mechanical & electrical).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
• Able to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

The Role

You’ll take ownership of projects from cradle to grave — ensuring they’re completed on time, within budget, and to the right standards.

This is an office-based role where you’ll be preparing specs, sourcing materials, coordinating site activities, creating technical drawings, and keeping projects on track.
