Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a £50m PBSA high-rise development in Greater Manchester. You will oversee from demolition to operations, directing subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary team, and chair client progress meetings to ensure timely delivery.

You will manage programme, budget, quality and safety, reporting to the Operations Director, with strong emphasis on HSEQ and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Background of Site & Project Management within an established main contractor/developer
• Academic qualifications: BSc/ HND in construction-related field and CIOB or similar
• Track record of delivering high standards and behaviours in HSEQ
• Excellent planning and time management skills with ability to think ahead and manage risk

Responsibilities

• Lead on a £50m design & build RC frame student accommodation project in Greater Manchester from demolition to operational management.
• Manage subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary site team; chair progress meetings with client and subcontractors.
• Oversee programme, budget delivery and ensure high health & safety and quality standards.
• Report to Operations Director and drive project milestones to successful completion

Job description

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to join a highly reputable build contractor & developer to take the lead on a £50m design & build RC frame student accommodation project in Greater Manchester?

An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing reputable developer on a brand new PBSA high rise development in Greater Manchester. Due to start in November 2026, you will take the lead from demolition to full operational management on a 2 tower reinforced concrete framed build. Reporting in to a visiting Operations Director, you will be responsible for the management of subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary site team, chairing subcontractor & client progress meetings, programme & budget delivering along with ensuring high standards of health & safety and quality.

The company are a multi-disciplinary principal contractor with a solid track record of delivering high quality design and build projects across the commercial, residential & education sector with typical project valued between £10m and £60m. This is a fast-growing regional business with an impressive pipeline of projects that can offer excellent career development opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Background of Site & Project Management within an established main contractor developer with proven track record of managing high rise residential, multiple occupancy builds, student accommodation etc.
• Academically Qualified either BSc Construction Management / HND Building / Built Environment, CIOB or similar and relevant industry tickets and certificates.
• Track record of the delivery of high standards and behaviours in HSEQ
• Excellent planning & time management skills with the ability to think ahead & manage risk.

Salary & Package on offer:

• Base £80,000 - £90,000
