Job summary

Fawkes and Reece is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a £50m design & build RC frame student accommodation project in Greater Manchester. You will manage subcontractors and a multidisciplinary site team from demolition through to operation, chairing progress meetings and controlling programme and budget.

The role requires a proven track record in high-rise residential or student accommodation projects, with a relevant qualification (BSc/HND, CIOB or equivalent) and strong HSEQ

Qualifications

• Background of Site & Project Management within an established main contractor developer.
• Proven track record of delivering high-rise residential or student accommodation projects.
• Academically qualified with BSc/HND and CIOB or equivalent certificates.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery from demolition to full operational management on a 2-tower RC frame PBSA project.
• Manage subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site team, and chair progress meetings.
• Oversee programme, budget, health & safety and quality on site.
• Report to Operations Director and ensure high standards of site performance.

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to join a highly reputable build contractor & developer to take the lead on a £50m design & build RC frame student accommodation project in Greater Manchester?

An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing reputable developer on a brand new PBSA high rise development in Greater Manchester. Due to start in November 2026, you will take the lead from demolition to full operational management on a 2 tower reinforced concrete framed build. Reporting in to a visiting Operations Director, you will be responsible for the management of subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary site team, chairing subcontractor & client progress meetings, programme & budget delivering along with ensuring high standards of health & safety and quality.

The company are a multi-disciplinary principal contractor with a solid track record of delivering high quality design and build projects across the commercial, residential & education sector with typical project valued between £10m and £60m. This is a fast-growing regional business with an impressive pipeline of projects that can offer excellent career development opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Background of Site & Project Management within an established main contractor developer with proven track record of managing high rise residential, multiple occupancy builds, student accommodation etc.
• Academically Qualified either BSc Construction Management / HND Building / Built Environment, CIOB or similar and relevant industry tickets and certificates.
• Track record of the delivery of high standards and behaviours in HSEQ
• Excellent planning & time management skills with the ability to think ahead & manage risk.
