Job summary

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead NPI initiatives across aerofoil and rotative components. You will create and manage project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery from development through production, while maintaining close collaboration with customers and suppliers.

The role requires strong organisation, communication and a track record in engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management or similar role.
• Excellent communication with customers.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the NPI process through all aspects of the project.
• Create project plans aligned with business and project delivery.
• Create detailed scoping and team briefing notes for maximum engagement.
• Manage continuous improvement activities to support customer demand schedules.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Manage handover from NPI into production.
• Source new suppliers and processes.
• Manage customer relationships and expectations for project delivery.
• Ensure project documentation is kept up to date.
• Provide support and guidance to the production team.
• Coordinate quotations from the supply chain.
• Develop relationships with supply chain partners.
• Identify cost-effective secondary processes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project delivery.

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector.

Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. The Position

• Manage the NPI process through all aspects of the project.

The Person

• Highly motivated individual.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within project management or similar role.
• Excellent communicator with experience of talking to customers.
• Ability to manage own time and workload effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Experience of working in an engineering environment is desired but not essential.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience talking with customers.
• Ability to manage all aspects of project delivery across all functional teams within the business
