We are now hiring a Project Manager to join us at our site in Peterborough:

Job Purpose

Managing our capital equipment projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, and to achieve maximum profit, while delivering customer satisfaction.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Customer relationship Management: building a good relationship and communication with the customers, sharing plans and gaining early notice of any changes or problems.
  • Project Planning: Achieve the contracted schedule, tracking timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Managing project variations and sell additions, agreeing achievable changes to schedule and specification.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams at Baker Perkins (Engineering, Production, Assembly, Shipping, Installation and Commissioning), fostering collaboration and communication among team members. Resolving problems as they arise in projects, identifying and mobilising the appropriate expertise.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Key projects Monitoring: Manage other partners, sister companies and key suppliers, for our integrated line solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future projects.
  • Sales Support: Provide sales support before ordertake, when required.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing sector, preferably in capital equipment manufacturing. Experience of managing large turnkey projects would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities – strong meeting management skills
  • Customer focus
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisational and problem-solving abilities: “Can Do” attitude
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Willingness to travel to customers’ sites worldwide, when needed
