Job summary

Pertemps Tm is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a civil engineering contract project in Ipswich. You will report to the Contracts Manager and lead multiple works from pre-construction to final delivery.

Role focuses on safely delivering projects on time and within budget, coordinating site teams and stakeholders, and maintaining robust project documentation and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from pre-construction through to completion.

• Maintain client relationships and attend progress meetings.

Project Manager Ipswich Negotiable PAYE Umbrella day rate depending on experience.

A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a contract basis on a project in Ipswich.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects safely, on programme and within budget
• Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors
• Developing and maintaining project programmes
• Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
• Overseeing quality assurance, ITPs and project documentation
• Monitoring project performance, risks and opportunities
• Working closely with commercial teams to ensure effective cost control
• Coordinating design, temporary works and construction activities
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering
• Strong background delivering infrastructure, flood alleviation, earthworks, drainage, highways or environmental projects
• Experience managing projects under NEC contracts
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and programme management experience
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams
