Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex, high-impact programmes? Smart DCC is seeking Project Managers to join our evolving Service Delivery function – a team at the heart of the smart metering ecosystem transformation in the UK.

As a Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in leading multi-disciplinary teams within large-scale programmes, managing third-party suppliers, and ensuring smooth transitions into live operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join DCC during a period of strategic growth as we embed our new Design, Build, Run (DBR) operating model.

What you’ll do

• Deliver end-to-end project management for complex, multi-year initiatives with budgets exceeding £30m
• Develop detailed project plans, manage risks/issues, scope changes, and budgets
• Lead high-performing, cross-functional project teams in a matrix environment
• Engage internal SMEs and external stakeholders including regulators and government bodies
• Ensure supplier performance, commercial compliance, and effective handover into operations
• Provide thought leadership to support continuous improvement within Service Delivery and DBR
• Deputise for Programme Managers as required

What we’re looking for

Essential Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of project management experience on complex, multi-stakeholder, technical programmes
• Proven track record of successful delivery through third-party suppliers and into live service
• Strong leadership, matrix management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• PRINCE2 certified and proficient in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• A passion for professional development and contributing to a high-performance culture
• Experience delivering network-based projects or programmes
• Knowledge of the UK energy market and/or public sector environments
• Understanding of customer operations platforms and regulatory compliance
