Job summary

Propel Consult is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established business specialising in retail display and fixture programmes for leading FMCG and retail brands. The role involves turning creative concepts into in-store solutions, collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and installers across the UK and internationally.

The position offers mostly office-based work with hybrid flexibility around client visits, a clear development path, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Project Manager role within retail display, POS or fixture manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with accuracy.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and installations across UK, Europe and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of multiple retail display projects, ensuring milestones, budgets and timelines are met.
• Support Account Managers across live FMCG and retail brand programmes from quotation through rollout.
• Translate concepts and technical drawings into clear manufacturing briefs and production plans.
• Liaise with design, engineering and production teams to ensure specifications are accurate and achievable.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and installers across UK, Europe and the Far East as required.
• Oversee production, quality control, packing, logistics, installations and post-install snagging.
• Track costs, approvals and progress using internal project management systems, providing clear updates to stakeholders.

We’re delighted to be recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a well‑established business specialising in retail display and fixture programmes for leading FMCG and retail brands. This Project Manager job offers the opportunity to play a key role in taking creative concepts through to fully delivered in‑store solutions, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and installers across the UK and internationally.

• Monday to Thursday8.30am–5pm, Friday 8.30am-3.30pm
• Mostly office based, with flexibility for some hybrid working around client visits

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage the day‑to‑day delivery of multiple retail display and fixture projects, ensuring milestones, budgets and timelines are met
• Support Account Managers across live FMCG and retail brand programmes from quotation through to rollout
• Translate creative concepts and technical drawings into clear manufacturing briefs and production plans
• Liaise with design, engineering and production teams to ensure specifications are accurate and achievable
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and installers across the UK, Europe and the Far East as required
• Oversee production, quality control, packing, logistics, installations and post‑installation snagging
• Track costs, approvals and progress using internal project management systems, providing clear updates to stakeholders

Required skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a Project Manager role or production coordination position within retail display, POS or fixture manufacturing
• Experience of Shop / Retail Fit out would be advantageous
• Overseas travel may be required on a project-to-project basis
• Strong technical understanding of materials, finishes and manufacturing processes, including metal, joinery, plastics and print
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with internal production teams, external suppliers and installation partners
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and project tracking or management tools
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits and installations as part of this Project Manager vacancy
